Susan Carlson

After law school, Susan Carlson clerked for a Federal District Court Judge and worked for a Wall Street law firm, where she began her career in commercial real estate, representing a national mortgage REIT and playing a key role in the negotiation of the extension of the ground lease under Rockefeller Center.

Ms. Carlson continued her focus on commercial real estate, starting the in-house legal department at a well-regarded Boston-based regional real estate development company.  As Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, she was responsible for real estate acquisitions, sales, financing, leasing and the development of shopping centers, office and R&D buildings, and residential land subdivisions and condominiums.

Most recently, Ms. Carlson held the title of Special Counsel at Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky and Popeo P.C., a national law firm in its Boston office, representing a large retail chain in ground leasing, financing and sale/leaseback transactions.
