Joel Fugate is a trial attorney and the Director of Cronus Law’s civil litigation practice. Joel has obtained successful jury verdicts for both plaintiffs and defendants and helped his clients get positive results in settlement, at bench trials, and arbitration. His cases often involve serious injuries, complex contractual disputes, and insurance coverage.
Joel is regularly chosen to handle cases involving scientific and technical matters. He has represented clients in cases concerning engineering failures, explosions, aviation, marine electrical systems, telecom/satcom networks, numerous areas of medicine, and many others.
Joel advises many businesses throughout the Valley, and he takes time to educate his clients on ways to preempt future disputes and protect their bottom line going forward. Joel focuses on solving the problem, strives to learn from each client, and ensures they stay informed and able to make decisions every step of the way.
Outside of the office, you can find Joel at concerts and other live events, or you won’t find him because he is way off in the mountains.

Education
Joel earned his Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where he also obtained a graduate certificate in Law, Science, and Technology. During law school, Joel prosecuted patents and trademarks through the United States Patent and Trademark Office and received the CALI Award for excellence in Patent Litigation.
Prior to law school, Joel completed his engineering degree at the University of Tennessee where he was elected President of the men’s rugby team.
